Nearly 50 Books in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, and Related Disciplines Coming to the OvidSP Scholarly Search and Discovery Platform
New York, NY (October 27, 2009) – Ovid, a part of Wolters Kluwer Health and a global leader in electronic scientific, medical, and academic information research solutions, is pleased to announce a new licensing agreement with the Royal Society of Chemistry, a world-renowned, UK-based professional association and publisher of books, journals, and databases in the chemical sciences, to provide seamless online access to 46 of its ebooks on the OvidSP platform. As a leading aggregator of online scientific information, Ovid works with more than 150 international and society publishers.

Based in the UK, the Royal Society of Chemistry is the primary professional body for chemistry in Europe. The Society carries out research, publishes journals, books and databases, and hosts conferences, seminars, and workshops. Its publishing program is based in Cambridge, with offices in Philadelphia and Beijing.
All 46 books are the latest editions and have been published between 2006 and 2008. They will be available as annual subscriptions or as one-time purchases for perpetual access on Books@Ovid, OvidSP’s leading ebooks platform. All books are scheduled to be available on OvidSP by the end of October.
