Wolters Kluwer Health Unveils Enhanced Facts & Comparisons® Online

New User Interface, Expanded Tools, Broader Content and Integration Unveiled at Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists 2009 Annual Meeting

ORLANDO, Fla. – (July 31, 2009) – Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, today unveiled enhancements to its leading edge online drug information reference, Facts & Comparisons® Online for Health Systems. Among the most notable enhancements are a more intuitive user interface, deeper integrated content, simplified searching and smarter tools to arm pharmacists and clinicians with evidence-based drug information that drives the best therapeutic decisions in less time.

The company made the announcement at the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP), taking place July 31-Aug. 2, 2009. During the conference, attendees can experience the newly enhanced Facts & Comparisons Online in Booth #212.

“The enhancements to Facts & Comparisons Online are based on valuable feedback from our customers, who asked for a more fluid user interface that meets the needs of both beginner and expert users,” said Arvind Subramanian, President and CEO, Wolters Kluwer Health Clinical Solutions. “We worked closely with our customers to ensure these enhancements exceeded expectations while still delivering the streamlined workflow, improved efficiencies and high-quality evidence-based drug information they have come to rely on from this trusted reference.”

The Facts & Comparisons Online for Health Systems home and monograph pages have been redesigned with a more modernized look and feel to enhance the presentation of, and ease of access to, information and tools. It also features an intelligent user interface designed to accommodate differing levels of expertise and individual navigation preferences, and enhanced search logic that simplifies and streamlines the search process.

The search results page has also been redesigned for speed and ease-of-use. Most notably, results are now organized into four categories and displayed by type of document. Finally, depending upon subscription types, users will have access to integrated, industry-leading content including Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference, DeLima Associates’ Consumer Product Information Database and Hospital Pharmacy Journal.

“Facts & Comparisons Online is a cost-effective solution for hospitals that is designed by clinicians for clinicians,” said Subramanian. “As such, it integrates easily into workflow and delivers the trusted, evidence-based drug information and actionable point-of-care answers to help hospitals deliver high-quality care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.”
